Ultrasound examinations breasts
During a breast ultrasound examination at our Center in Warsaw, both palpable breast lesions and those that, due to their small size – rows of millimeters – are not detected by tactile examination are visualized and evaluated. Diagnostic experience in the examination of the breast, a thorough, thorough examination, as well as a preceding palpation examination and a collected medical history are prerequisites for a good diagnosis. Breast ultrasound examination is painless. performed in the supine position and takes about 15-20 minutes. The examination does not require any prior preparation and does not pose any danger to the patient. After the examination, the patient receives a printed result with recommendations, and in the case of lesions detected in the examination (e.g. cysts, tumors, suspicious lymph nodes), photographs are attached to the result.
Breast ult rasound is indispensable in the prevention of breast cancer. it is a quick, non-invasive and painless examination. It can be performed in lactating women and pregnant women. Detection of signs of benign breast diseases-cysts, nodules-determines their further ultrasound observation. Anatomical assessment of healthy breasts is useful for learning self-examination, which affects early detection of abnormalities by patients themselves.
Breast ultrasound should be performed once a year by every woman over the age of 30. Older women should perform it more frequently , i.e. at least once a year.
