Ultrasound examinations neck
Neck usg examination is a specialty of the Ultrasound Laboratory at our Center. It is performed with a high-end Philips HD15 ultrasound machine with precise imaging of very fine structures. It is a painless, non-invasive examination and takes a few minutes. The patient does not have to worry about discomfort or inconvenience. At first, the doctor interviews the patient about his or her complaints, and then proceeds with the examination. The diagnostician applies gel to the patient’s neck so that the image can be better seen on the device and the head can move freely. The test results are available immediately after the examination. The patient receives a description of the examination along with a printout.
No special preparation is needed for the neck ultrasound examination. It is important that the part to be examined is clean, exposed and easily accessible. Men must also remember to shave their facial hair. The examination is performed in a lying position. The test should not be performed when the patient does not cooperate with the diagnostician or does not consent to the examination.
