Phoniatrics
What it does phoniatrics?
Phoniatrics is a branch of otolaryngology that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the voice, language and speech. This field is closely related to audiology and sometimes even speech therapy. In cases of any voice problems, you should go to see a phoniatrist. For the appointment, you should bring all the tests you have done so far. At the appointment, the phoniatrist will take a detailed history, perform examinations (physical examination, endoscopic, stroboscopic) and analyze the structure, throat, nose and vocal cords. If necessary, he will order additional diagnostic tests. such as audiogram (tonal audiometry) or CT scan. Both of these tests are performed at our facility.
