Lower eyelid correction in Krajmed
It is used to reduce the emphasized tissue, most often for aesthetic indications. It involves the removal or relocation of excess fatty tissue, often distorting the weakened orbital septum, and sometimes a small reduction in excess skin.
In Dr. Krawczynski's technique, the operation is performed from the inside of the eyelid and without interfering with the orbital septum, since scarring of this structure within the lower eyelid easily occurs and deforms the eyelid during the postoperative healing period.
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, as it can be painful. Lower eyelid plasty can be combined with upper eyelid plasty.
