ECG, or resting electrocardiography, is a graphic recording of the bioelectrical activity of the heart. It is the primary method of cardiac diagnosis. The test is painless and takes a few minutes. Electrodes are placed on the patient’s body, which are connected to a recorder. The collected data are presented in the form of a graph (ECG curve) printed on paper.
Indications for the test are symptoms indicating cardiac disorders.
