Among other things, he gained skills and professional experience during his stay in South Africa, where, after specializing in otorhinolaryngology, he served as Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Medical University of South Africa, Pretoria. Fellow in otology and neurootology at the Michigan Ear Institute in Detroit, USA, Member of the American Society of Neurootology and other national and international medical societies. Since 2003, Regional Delegate of the elite European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. The Academy’s goal is to combine functional and cosmetic treatment of the nose and face. During periodically held joint meetings, current surgical techniques and standards of patient care in facial plastic surgery are discussed (www.eafps.org). A turning point in Dr. Mark Krajewski’s medical career was the acquisition of practical skills in performing ENT procedures using endoscopic methods. In 1989, Dr. Krajewski took a basic course in endoscopic surgery under the supervision of Prof. Stammberger and continued his training in this field in 1990 with a course in advanced endoscopic surgery. Since 1990, Dr. Krajewski has practically dealt with disorders of the nose and throat, during the diagnosis and treatment of which he uses endoscopic equipment. His greatest professional success – the development of an endoscopic technique for tonsil surgery, which has completely (since 1998) eliminated the occurrence of primary postoperative bleeding.
