Jaroslaw Balcerzak

In 1993 he received the first degree of specialty and in 1995 the second degree of specialty in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery. In 1994 he received the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences defending his doctoral thesis entitled Juvenile fibroma – diagnostic and therapeutic problem (in the material of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Medical University of Warsaw in 1980-1990). In 1996 raised to the rank of Assistant Professor in the structures of the Warsaw Medical University. During the subsequent stages of his more than 28-year clinical career, he dealt with almost all issues related to the field to which he devoted himself, which is reflected in the extensive literature. Dr. Jaroslaw Balcerzak, M.D., is the author and co-author of 73 scientific papers published in national or international medical journals and 15 chapters in textbooks for specialists, monographs and scripts.

For his teaching activities he was awarded the team award of the Rector of the Warsaw Medical University four times – in 1999, 2001, 2005, 2006.

He deepened his knowledge and medical skills by participating in specialized courses and internships at leading clinical centers in the United States and Western Europe. Among the most important are internships held at:

• Mayo Clinic, Rochester (MN), USA – twice in 1995 and 1999
• The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York (NY), USA, 1998
