Jacek Imiela
He graduated from medical school in 1971. A second degree specialist in internal medicine and nephrology. Professionally affiliated with the Warsaw Medical Academy, which was transformed into the Warsaw Medical University.National consultant in internal medicine and Mazovian Regional Consultant in internal medicine and Head of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine and Nephrology of the Medical Center in Międzylesie.
He was head of the Department of Community Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences with the Department of Nursing, the Department of Public Health and the Department of Dietetics at Warsaw Medical University. He started his medical practice at the Międzyleski Specialized Hospital in Warsaw, where he became head of the internal medicine and nephrology department. In 2009, he was entrusted with the position of national consultant in internal medicine. President of the Society of Polish Internists. Member of the Scientific Council of the Medical Center for Postgraduate Education.
In 2013, he was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta by President Bronislaw Komorowski for his outstanding contributions and activities for the protection of public health. In 2010, he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit.
