On Friday, the Hyperbaria Centre was officially opened in Krajmed. We offer oxygen therapies in the hyperbaric chamber under pressure of even 3 ATA. Hyperbaric therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive method of treatment of diseases and ailments consisting in breathing 100% oxygen administered under increased pressure. The procedure is painless – the patient inhales the therapeutic oxygen in a specially constructed hyperbaric chamber under the supervision of qualified personnel. Staying in the hyperbaric chamber effectively saturates tissues with oxygen, which penetrates the red blood cells. Its concentration also increases in plasma, lymphatic system and cerebrospinal fluid. Thanks to the increased pressure, oxygen reaches places where it has no chance to get to on a daily basis.
