Pain is a signal that something disturbing is happening to our body. It accompanies us from birth and is always associated with unbearable tribulation and suffering. Pain is a subjective sensory and emotional experience. It is connected both with the action of the stimulus that causes it and with the perception arising from the mental interpretation of the phenomena taking place.
Pain sensation is individual for each person. It is influenced both by our previous experience of pain and by psychosomatic conditions (concerning the relationship between the psyche and the body). Pain sensation and its consequences often have unpleasant consequences not only for us but also for our loved ones. Therefore, pain has not only physical and psychological consequences, but also social ones.
