Oxygen therapy in a hyperbaric chamber is one of the most effective forms of oxygen delivery to all tissues. Due to the increased atmospheric pressure, oxygen loses physiological barriers to tissue penetration. Oxygen therapy provides an increased amount of oxygen to diseased and hypoxic tissues and organs and improves blood circulation, therefore it is used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and tissue hypoxia.
